"Big Law Job? There’s an App for That."
It’s hard to get a job at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, the prominent law firm based in New York. But thanks to an iPhone and iPad app the firm has developed, Skadden applicants may find the recruiting process a smidge easier to navigate….
One of the most notable features in the app is a text-recognition system that allows applicants to scan business cards they receive from Skadden contacts and automatically add their contact information to a digital list.
Glad the on-campus interview process is drawing to a close. Perhaps I’m old-fashioned, but I doubt an app would have made it easier.
When I was interviewing for BigLaw, several firms gave out flash drives with firm info on them. And last year when I did OCI for my old firm, they had QR codes on packets of info. Glad to see at least some firms are keeping up with technology!
