Now that I am 32, I find that I want to cover my arms more. Or maybe this has nothing to do with age and more to do with the fact that I’ve been drinking beer and necking instead of exercising for the past 6ish months. Are we still saying YOLO? If so, YOLO. If not, que sera or something else semi-pretentious in a language I barely understand but borrow idioms from freely. I am going to go purchase my very first cardigan for 40% off.
Because, you see, I hate cardigans. Not aesthetically but from a place deep down in my soul that says ‘cardigans are for sexless librarians and other women who are easily marginalized.’ Which is stupid: (1) because there is a TON of librarian porn out there, so they are clearly having sex or, at least, the market is there. (2) I don’t dress sexy for work anyway. (3) Regardless of what I’m wearing, I’ll be a boss bitch. (4) Other ladies look perfectly nice in them. So I’m getting over myself and buying one today.
Thanks, Allison! But if I slowly descend into a Lily Pulizter-clad maelstrom of decoupage and Real Housewives, I am going to blame you! And then send you a bundt cake.
