Finished making this and took a break from high-fiving myself to post pics!

As has been well-documented on this here Tumblr, I’m getting into woodworking.  Why is a 30something Brooklyn litigator sawing, nailing and staining lumber in her apartment on the weekends?  I don’t know, but I bet my neighbors are super happy about it.

Anyway, I decided to make a necklace cabinet based on these plans I found on Ana White’s website.  I changed the stain because her process was a little more advanced than I wanted to try, which is why this is sort of a light blueish tint.  Looks pretty boss in person but photographs poorly.  As I am discovering with all my projects, it took a lot longer than I anticipated, but I’m really happy with how it turned out.  Fingers crossed the cats don’t yank it down!
